Where it all began ..
In June 2007 Debbie, Paul & their family and friends organised a massive fun day to raise funds for a young man’s family. It was a fantastic day with 100’s of people from Greatfield Estates community, coming to join the fun and raise funds. It was then when we realised what a fantastic community we’ve got.
Then in the summer of 2007 a group of children along with Debbie as their adult advisor, organised a sports day and raised some money for sports equipment. After they held the sports day some of GRIN’s founder members thought “if these 10yr olds can do something for their community so can we”. So in September 2007, Debbie, Paul, & Elly-May Peacock along with some others decided to form GRIN
What happened next..
We started fundraising, asking people to volunteer, asking people what they would like to see in their area and forming partnerships with other agencies and groups. Bought more equipment pool tables, table footy, games etc
